THE MINISTER OF DCDT, HON. MONDLI GUNGUBELE WILL OFFICIALLY LAUNCH A CYBERLAB AT LITTLE FLOWER COMBINED SCHOOL, HARRY GWALA, KWAZULU-NATAL.

As part of the 2024 Back to School Campaign, the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Honourable. Mondli Gungubele will continue with the rollout of the cyberlabs, as such, he will officially launch the Little Flower Combined School Cyberlab, in Ixopo, Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality, Harry Gwala District, Kwazulu-Natal Province.

The national cyberlab programme is a national initiative of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA); and is aimed at investing in the creation and expansion of smart schools. This is also aligned to the Minister’s vision of SITA reasserting itself as the leader in driving ICT transformation in government.

The lab is envisioned to enhance the learner’s academic development and teacher’s learning materials through the internet connectivity that is provided in conjunction with the cyberlab infrastructure.

In the 2023 Grade 12 results, Kwazulu-Natal Province is one of the provinces that saw significant improvement in their performance and Little Flower Combined School is determined to keep their 100% Matric pass rate they obtained in the year 2023.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies will also take this opportunity to raise awareness about the two-step approach to ending dual illumination and completion of Broadcast Digital Migration.
