The Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Solly Malatsi, in collaboration with the World Bank and GSMA, invites members of the media to a high-level industry workshop aimed at accelerating access to affordable smart devices for all South Africans.
The workshop will bring together industry leaders from the telecommunications sector, financial institutions, and key stakeholders to discuss practical, scalable solutions that will lower costs, expand device availability, and bridge the digital divide.
The media is invited to cover the opening session, which will include the Minister’s keynote address outlining government and industry strategies to reduce smart device costs, expand digital access, and bridge the digital divide.
