After the successful Audio-Visual Content Program #NextGenCreatorsSA, a capacity building an educational pilot initiative for South African content creators and filmmakers training course, the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies in collaboration with the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA), Google and the National Film and Video Foundation will host the graduation ceremony and the official launch of NEMISA OTT Platform in North West province, Mahikeng Local Municipality.

The program will see the official handover of certificates to future filmmakers/content creators as well as the ceremonial launch of the Over-The-Top online platform of NEMISA which will allow content producers to share their great work for the society to access. This will enhance their production and storytelling abilities and empower them as entrepreneurs in the creative industry towards building digital economy.

The creative industry plays a significant role in the digital economy. As digital platforms expand, creative content becomes more scalable, enabling global reach with even lower distribution costs.
