PROGRAMME 3: ICT POLICY DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH
The purpose of this Programme is to develop ICT policies and legislation that support the development of an ICT sector that creates favorable conditions for the accelerated and shared growth of the economy. Develop strategies that create the uptake and usage of ICT by the majority of the South African population, thus bridging the digital divide.
It comprises the following sub-programmes:
- ICT Policy Development;
- Economic and Market Analysis;
- Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise;
- Research;
- Broadcasting Policy;
- Presidential Commission on 4IR; and
- Programme Management for ICT Policy Development and Research.
